I knew going red would get my choked out, but I figured I had white cut-off enough that I would have enough playables. But come on, Desolation Giant! That's like WOG+1! In retrospect, I'm not sure how I feel about splashing Sprout Swarm. I don't think I did the mana base properly and I didn't have anything to help even things out.

Round 1: Played against a horrible U/B/r deck that splashed red for three, count em' three, Rift Elementals. You heard that right. He did, however, pull a Chronozoa, which delayed things considerably. Desoloation Giant was the MVP, shutting down Chronozoa both games.

Round 2: Played another W/R deck. He had all my red, and I had all his white. The first two games were straight forward beat downs, with one of us being mana screwed. The third game was closer, but Desolation Giant cleared away his advantageous board position and I dropped Castle Raptors next turn for the win.

Round 3: He played a good U/R deck. Now I see where all the red went. First two games were close, but the third was not and I got my butt kicked by another Chronozoa. Seriously, where do these things come from?
